Partnership between LIFE Institute and JTI aims to improve practices on management for sustainability

Responsible for the adoption of a conservation area in the municipality of Palmeira (PR, Brasil), the tobacco company – JTI (Japan Tabacco International) has signed a partnership with the LIFE Institute. JTI, a multinational present in more than 100 countries and one of the largest companies in the sector, joins the list of institutions that seek better and more effective results in biodiversity conservation in Brazil.

This partnership consists in identifying opportunities from the assessment of impacts to biodiversity in JTI sites and in its supply chain. Management indicators of the LIFE methodology and the results of environmental programs for nature conservation will also be evaluated.
